Marimekko’s Fall 2013 looks from Stockholm Fashion Week, interspersed with images associated with the Marimekko, With Love exhibition at the Textile Museum, Canada, including Helsinki, above – one of my favourites. Let’s go to Canada/Finland! HF. Backstage images from here.

There’s still over a month of summer left, and umpteen opportunities to wrap up your hair in one of these beauties, from textile designer Eloise Rapp. HF.
When I haven’t been thinking about finishing a PhD and having a baby (most likely to take place in the same month/week), the above have occupied my mind: paintings by Emily Ferretti (top, and fourth from top), Erdem Pre-Fall 2013, the Acne Piers bag, the need for a new Bolivian manta (to upholster our bedhead), a print like this for the nursery and the quilts of Inneke Poort. Apologies for the length of time between drinks/posts. HF.
Yes, we alerted you to the perfectly curated range of goods from The Apartment, Denmark, last month. But I couldn’t not post these images once I’d come across them on Jelanie’s blog. I’ve taken to thinking of such interiors as mantels writ large, as they’re designed with a pared back aesthetic to allow interesting art and textural objects to shine. If I could get rid of a few hundred objects in my home, I might be on my way to a mantel, but for the moment I’m living in more of a shrine… HF.
The Knot on Wood (cute) collection by London designer Elin Green. The bowls are hand turned using locally sourced timbers, and the applied rope is waxed cotton cord. I NEED to touch them! Not available online as yet, but you can contact Elin regarding commissions here, or follow her blog or pinterest in the meantime. HF.
