Oh golly. It’s always hard when you fall for artworks that are produced on the other side of the globe (in this case California, by way of New York, Paris and originally Beirut). These mixed media works on linen are by Huguette Caland. They obviously speak to my love of textiles (and botanica!) but moreover, they’re beauty lies in their fallen apart-ed-ness and disintegrating dispersal of colour and line. Off now to make an international phone call… HF.
