This happened last year, but I’ve only just discovered it. The Mobile Garden project saw a native garden planted on a flat car train and circle the Chicago loop for 5 hours. The plantings included native grasses, tomatillos, ornamental sweet potato vines, ivy, spider plants, kale, zinnias, rubber trees and coleus. Plans are afoot for the garden to be built again, this time to travel for a month, fingers crossed. HF.
