Kim Eichler-Messmer: landscape quilts

Not all quilts are equal. Just because something is handmade, we needn’t pretend it’s pretty. Normally tie-dye and patchworking can cause the most horrific results (just google those two words). It takes someone with a delicate design sensibility to pull it off, and Kim Eichler-Messmer does just that. I love these quilts, particularly those that tackle landscapes (Iowa Landscape Quilt, above). If I didn’t have a room with a half dozen unfinished quilts in it, I’d snap one up and hang it above the bed. HF.

PS I found Kim’s quilts via a FB post by Grace from design*sponge – have you checked out their new site? Pretty.
