Elysian Landscapes: California & kalanchoe

You’re looking at the work of Elysian Landscapes and designer Judy Kameon. The firm works with significant Californian architectural homes, with sustainability in mind. Perhaps that explains the profusion of drought resistant plants in her gardens. I love these plants, as they’re often the most complex, beautiful colours: gunmetal greys, red/blacks, teals and rusts. Kameon is known for her ‘tapestry’ like hillside plantings, where all these colours run together beautifully. I also love the firm’s use of furnishings: bright, bold pops of colour are a nice contrast to the soft surrounds… HF.
