Grevillea & fig berries

I love Grevillea. We have an abundance of it in our local park in shades of peach through to scarlet. When they’re heavy with flower, I feel very happy about snipping a few off for home. Teamed with some Ficus macrophylla berries and native foliage, they look right at home on our soon-to-be-shelved pile of books by the back door. My favourite arrangements are always with locally picked/nicked things – I think its the thrifty thrill of it, or the idea shining a light on unglamorous green things…HF.
