Maya Lin- Landscape Happiness

My very first understanding of Landscape Architecture was via an Artist/ Landscape Architect Maya Lin. Controvercially, she had been commissioned to design the Washington Vietnam Memorial- as a Chinese American, apparently this wasn’t Kosher!  What ever- she did an amazing job, and I have been following her ever since.

Last year she had an exhibition of landscape sculptural models/ art works in NY.  After ten years of following her work- I still find her inspirational.

This one reminds me of a giant ancient city- Yes?

There is some thing really magical about this one- the landscape suspended- LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Any hoo- Enjoy and be inspired.
