Roof gardens in the most peculiar places

This is my very first attempt at this blogging bizo- so be kind. To kick things off- I’ve found a some thing that really tickled my fancy. I’m so excited by the project in Brooklyn!
It’s called Brooklyn Grange, and it’s a commercial farm in the making- on the top of an unused roof space in Brooklyn. By June this year, they will be selling their produce at farm stalls as well as local restaurants. I love the idea of this formerly unused space being converted into a community activity supplying fresh produce to locals. Particularly in  dense cities, where kids don’t know about the origins of their dinner- this kind of project will help connect them back to the ‘natural’ environment. More More More!!!

The beginings of a feast!
