Wedding table arrangements, using recycled tin cans wrapped in vintage maps and a variety of gingham and liberty fabrics, all sitting on burlap runners and interspersed with Mexican votive candles. Maps, Liberty, Gingham, Mexican – can you tell already that it was my wedding?
We used whatever we could get our hands on locally so we were limited to dahlias (some nice ones, although a week or so later the market was filled with unbelievable ones), David Austin roses, hydrangea, freesias, gum, chrysanthemums, daisies and delphinium. The idea was lots of buttery creams, with hits of vibrant reds, pinks and blues. It all worked perfectly with the checked napkins and red papel picado flags.
Table place-cards by Nina’s mum and my aunt Pammie James – possibly my favourite detail of the night. She took my love of folk art and Mexicana and made mini collages for every guest.
